The J5 Over The Door GE KeySafe™, key box , provides convenient, managed access to stored keys. Its specific design offers an alternative installation method and fits correctly into door frames for both fixed and temporary key holding.
The code can be changed anytime for added security.

The J5 Over The Door GE KeySafe™ stores 4 – 5 yale keys or 1 - 2 chubb keys and is supplied with a black neoprene cover (product code 409-COV) to protect the GE KeySafe™ from the elements and hide it away from view. The J5 Over the Door simply slips over the top of the door and is kept in place by closing the door. Recommended for wooden doors only.

OPERATION:

Slide the 'Clear' switch down to reset the buttons. Push the appropriate combination code. Press down the 'Open' switch and remove the lid. After use of the key, enter the code again, press down the 'Open' button and place the lid back. Release the 'Open' button and the lid will be locked.

GUIDELINES:

We recommend that your GE KeySafe™, key box , is fitted in a covert position if at all possible. When programming your access code, we recommend that you do not use a birth date or any other obvious combination code. A combination consisting of between 5 and 7 digits is recommend.
