METROPOLITAN POLICE SELECT SUPRA FOR PARTNERSHIP INITIATIVE - 1st October 2002
Detective Chief Inspector David Ryan, Head of the Metropolitan Police Serious and Organised Crime Groups Stolen Vehicle Unit, accepts a SUPRA Indigo KeyBox system from SUPRA (UK) Limited MD, Mr David Ogden. The SUPRA system was selected after due consideration of other key management systems and a thorough review of similar products. They were particularly impressed with the standard of construction and, in particular, the security of the SUPRA Title key.
"... Lock boxes on the vehicle are an advert that… organisations are being positive about preventing key theft. It allows the keys to remain on the vehicle, but only nominated staff members have the key to the boxes, allowing ordinary business to continue unimpeded.
The Stolen Vehicle Unit recovers millions of £ of vehicles each year and many of them have to be stored for a period as exhibits. We have a duty of care to look after keys and demonstrate leadership and responsibility in deterring key theft. We are happy to be associated with this partnership, which shows the MPS to be a beacon of best practice."

Thank goodness they had a KeySafe; it meant the ambulance crew were able to get in immediately when they arrived. Our client had called for help and it seemed he was having a heart attack, because the ambulance crew were able to get in so quickly, it meant that our client’s life was saved.
